Mrs. Laura M. Gosling, 58, the wife of Glenn D. Gosling, director of the University Press, died this morning at her home, 2229 Needham Rd., after a long illness.
She was born May 1, 1906, in Grand Rapids, a daughter of Truman and Lucy Brown Marshall. She was married to Mr. Gosling in New York City on March 24, 1942.
The couple came to Ann Arbor from Berkeley, Calif., two-and-a-half years ago.
Mrs. Gosling was formerly director of physical education at Olivet College in Olivet, and also had been health education director for YWCAs in Yonkers, N. Y., and Los Angeles, Calif.
She was a member of the Faculty Women's Club and was chairman of its University Affairs Section. She was also a member of the Westwood Hills Congregational Church in Los Angeles.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Anne, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Earl Stark of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Richard E. Crusius officiating. Arrangements were by the Muehlig Chapel.
