Among the first alumni of the University to register at Alumni Memorial hall yesterday was Edwin L. ("Duke") Neville '07, recently appointed by President Roosevelt as United States minister to Siam. Neville is a career diplomat and for more than six years was charge d'affaires at the U. S. embassy in Tokyo. For two of those years Mr. Neville acted as ambassador. Envoy Neville is shown at the right in the picture above, chatting with T. Hawley Tapping, general secretary of the Alumni association, left, and Wilfred B. Shaw, director of the Bureau of Alumni Relations, center.
