While the Scarecrow looks on, the Tin Woodman extends his hand to Holly Postmus (left) and Martha Portz. Donald Cress (right) seems enchanted by the Cowardly Lion. The scene is in anticipation of the Meredith Marionettes' production of "The Wizard of Oz" on March 23, a fund-raising show sponsored by the Margaret Waterman Group of the University Alumnae Association.

Milan Boy Builds Puppet Show: These two 14-year-old Milan boys, William Squires, left, and George Tucker, are shown operating one of the two puppet shows that featured exhibits and entertainment of the second annual hobby show Friday and Saturday in Milan. George constructed the show. The two-day affair drew hundreds of spectators from Monroe and Washtenaw counties.
