Youngsters in the neighborhood of 811 Packard St. have formed their own "Victory Club" and, strictly on their own initiative, have been scouring the area for scrap paper, rags, rubber and metal. They have collected tin cans, too, flattening them according to salvage regulations. In the picture are, front row, left to right, Charles Bauman, Jack Wall and Elbert Dickman; back row, Marvin Dickman, the president; Lavonne Dickman, treasurer; Norma Shipman, Norma Rich, Jimmy Gorton and Dale Rich, vice-president and secretary. Seven-year-old Dick Westphal missed the picture. He went home to change his clothes and got back too late. The scrap is piled at the rear of the Dickman home, 811 Packard St.
