PIONEERS NOW HAVE 'DEAD HEAT KIDS': Running to dead heat victories on the part of twin tracksters may become a vogue in Ann Arbor following its inauguration last year by Bob and Ross Hume at the University. Latest pair of "dead heat kids" are Ed (left) and Don Makielski, Ann Arbor High harriers who have finished in a deadlock for first place in Ann Arbor's last two cross country meets. They pulled the trick against Lansing Eastern last week and again at Ypsilanti Central on Tuesday when Ann Arbor won, 20-35. They will be trying for their third tie win against Dearborn at Ypsilanti this afternoon.
