Description
Marshall Nature Area is a 79-acre park in northeast Ann Arbor. Most of Marshall Nature Area is wooded with some open fields. Much of the forested area is open with mixed hardwoods such as oak, hickory, maple and beech. Dogwoods and a variety of wildflowers add springtime color to the park. Pockets of planted pine and spruce are found on the south and west side of the park. Each year, AADL partners with Natural Area Preservation (NAP) to lead a series of nature walks around parks and natural areas in Ann Arbor. These walks take place on the last Thursday of every month, April-September, and are a fun way to learn about native plants and animals! Wear comfortable shoes and bring water and bug spray if desired.
For this walk, meet in the parking lot off Dixboro Road, north of Plymouth Road.
