Description
Join performers from the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Nu Chapter, from the University of Michigan for a Step Show celebration in honor of Black History Month! Stepping or Step-Dancing has its roots in African traditional dance and uses the body as an instrument. Stepping has been practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, beginning in the early 1900s. This event will showcase steps, strolls, and chants that are significant to both their culture and to the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
