Chelsea Men Build Portable Dipping Outfit: Harold Guenther, route 2, Chelsea, and Clarence Bristle, route 1, constructed this portable sheep dipping outfit to make a business of ridding Washtenaw county sheep of external parasites. The top picture (this picture) shows the complete dipping equipment with the exception of the two runways, and the lower photo shows Guenther helping one of the sheep scramble up the side of the tak after being immersed. Shown in the top picture, from left to right are: Mr. Bristle, Norman Schneider, Mr. Guenther and Ben Schneider, of Lima township, whose sheep were being treated.

Three-Horse Team Solves Plowing Problem: Above is shown the three-horse team of beautiful dapple grays with which Oscar Lindauer, their owner, is successfully solving this fall's serious plowing problem. Despite intermittent rains since early spring, the ground on his 40-acre farm, southeast of Chelsea, is a heavy strain on tractor and horses, both of which he is using on this job. This farm is one of the largest in the county.

Here he has teamed a pair of fine Belgian horses to help with the spring work on the farm. The eight-year-old stallion on the left was in the champion get of sire group at the state fair in 1935 and was second in his class at the Chicago International as a three-year-old. The four-year-old mare teamed with him has not been shown in competition.

The above is a picture of one of the largest litters of English Springer Spaniel puppies ever born in this vicinity. The litter numbered an even dozen. The dam, "Maiden Lane Beauty," has proved to be an excellent mother and is raising eleven of the youngsters, one having died when one day old. The Sire of the litter is "Man O' War's Mickey." The puppies are all strong and healthy individuals and are now five weeks old. There are nine champions in the four-generation pedigree of these young Springers. Their owner is Fred Nielsen, proprietor Nielsen Greenhouses, 1020 Maiden Lane, Ann Arbor.

DEXTER BOY PUTS ORPHAN RABBIT ON MILK DIET: Two baby rabbits that lost their parents in a grass fire in Dexter the other day were adopted by Junior and Roger Williams, sons of Mr. and Mrs. William Williams of Dexter. Estimated to be about a week old, the tiny rabbits refused to eat lettuce and were put on a milk diet. They were fed with an eye dropper first and now are thriving on milk from a bottle with a nipple. One of them bit the end off the nipple on an early feeding. Junior Williams is feeding one of the orphans in the above picture; the other ran away while the picture was being taken.

Above is a group of Dexter boys who are always on hand when free, sweet cider flows from a 50-gallon barrel at the Otto Wagner mill, along the Huron river. In one afternoon these boys, together with other groups, consumed 16 gallons of free cider. The proprietor says that the boys would be there yet, with upturned mugs, the facial as well as the glass varieties, if it hadn't been necessary to close up the mill for the night. The boys shown in the picture are, reading from left to right: Charles Mosher, Jack Wall, Alvin Kolander, Arthur Bell, James Bell, and Vincent La Rosa.
